(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Seductive British lingerie brand Agent Provocateur has tuned in to the dark side of the season with a fall collection inspired by witches.
The collection, marked by dark autumn colors, severe, skin-sucking cuts and lots of black lace and trim, is accompanied by a racy ad campaign called Tableaux Vivant, which is French for "living picture," a popular Medieval practice where a group of carefully dressed models would create an art form by holding poses. The main images on each of four posters are reminiscent of a classic painting from the Salem days, with seductive single shots on the reverse.
The photos were shot by fashion photographer Tim Bret Day, who has also worked with Adidas, Mercedes and Marks & Spencer.
"'The Season Of The Witch' is the story for Autumn, inspired by the work of Paul de la Roche; the execution of Lady Gray - mixed with the Massacre of the Innocents by Peter Paul Rubens," the company said. "Our modern day version features several UK and international beauties including Daisy Lowe and Peaches Geldof."
The campaign, while inspired by a bygone era, is delightfully modern. Click on "Experience" on the webpage for the new collection, and you're taken into an old castle, where you can decide the fate of the lingerie-clad characters in an interactive video. The campaign also introduces a virtual challenge: Each season, a new riddle will appear on the campaign poster, the clues to which are within the pictures. Participants can try to solve the riddle by entering the answer on the Agent P website.
