(Filed Under wholesale Plus Size News). Colombian company WL Green International Corp. is introducing a new brand of full-figured sleepwear and foundations, titled Love Love Intimates, exclusively for the U.S. market. The brand’s introductory collections are called Love Love Sleepwear, which runs in XS through 1X, and Love Love Curves, which runs in bottom sizes S through 4X, and bra sizes 32 through 52, C through J. Styles will begin shipping to stores on December 30th for the spring 2010 season. The company described both collections as “striking a perfect balance between chic and elegant flattering styles and today’s fashion trends.”

According to Mary Pifko, national sales manager of Love Love Intimates, the company designed sizes throughout the introductory collections using unique patterns, offering a more precise fit than much of the intimate apparel currently on the market. “Normally when a company is designing the sizing for a bra, they will only cut 34B and a 38C or D, and do the math to achieve the fit for larger sizes,” she explained.

“On the other hand, we have made a unique pattern for every size in the line, which gives our garments a much more precise fit, particularly for those larger sizes.”

Pifko reported that WL Green International Corp came up with the idea for Love Love Sleepwear when the owner of the company was searching for a bridal gift in the U.S., and “couldn’t find anything unique and beautiful for a reasonable price point,” adding that the company also noticed a lack of sleepwear with full-bust support in the market. The collection, which retails for $75 to $125, includes 12 chemises and gowns in vibrant hues including peacock green, cinnamon, plum and a leopard print, which are embellished with hand beading and embroidery. Styles include bust support and figure-enhancing elements. Pifko described the sleepwear as “romantic and elegant without being too over-the-top sexy.” She expects it to appeal to women ranging from their 30’s to 60’s who are seeking; “something a little different and sophisticated for the bedroom,” adding that she sees the line as having huge potential in the bridal market.

The Love Love Curves collection includes nine sets and 12 single pieces, and encompasses underwire and soft-cup bras, panties and three shapewear silhouettes. In addition to basic shades of white, nude, black and chocolate, the collection also incorporates deep burgundies and pinks, among other fashion colors. Pifko described the collection as “a little more traditional, style-wise, than the sleepwear collection.

“We have brought in some of the romantic laces and embroidery [seen in the sleepwear], but this collection is more about function and fit. I expect it to appeal to any woman seeking a great fit, who may have a hard-to-find bra size, but does not want to settle for unattractive foundations.”

The company is gearing Love Love Intimates toward better specialty stores, and is also targeting the upper-tier department store market. Retailers who will carry the brand include Lily Ann’s in Livermore, Calif., The Bra Lady in Culver City, Calif. and Maxine’s in Richmond, Calif. Pifko reported that retailers have responded positively to the line. Buyers from The Bra Lady described it as having “a great size range, especially in soft cups [bras].”

Love Love Intimates is based in Miami, FL. For further information, contact Pifko:
