Dreamgirl: Costumes That Light Up

Dreamgirl's "True Blue" fairy (style 5931)

(Filed Under wholesale Costume News). Dreamgirl, manufacturer of costumes and sexy lingerie, announced it will launch a special addition to its line of costumes for the upcoming Halloween season.

The new costumes will be embellished with little bulbs that light up, blink, and move in a pattern. There are little switches inside the costume and special wiring technology that will have light-up features. Some of the designs that will incorporate the new light-up detailing will be a fairy and a grim reaper costume. The new costumes will cost from $10.95 to $25.95 wholesale.

Amanda Wasvary, the designer for the new costumes, was inspired by the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Thinking that costumes that light up would be a great way to stand out at a party, she decided to do some research and spoke to the factory to see how she could make her new idea happen.

According to Lar Hovsepian, marketing manager at Dreamgirl, the company plans on advertising the new designs through trade magazines, different consumer networking sites, such as facebook.com and myspace.com, and via word of mouth.

The new 2009/2010 designs will launch this January in their catalog and will be ready for viewing before the upcoming Halloween and Party Expo show in Houston on January 24th. The company's lingerie launches will also be available in the new 2009/2010 catalog in January 2009.
