(Filed Under wholesale Dancewear News). Danielle Delia, owner and designer of California-based ColorSMACK!, made her show debut at this September’s International Lingerie Show (ILS). Delia showed the new brand’s colorful collection of garter belts under the Metallics and UV Black Light Reactive lines in nine different shades. The garter belts run in sizes XS through XL, which fits women’s sizes 0 through 16, and wholesale for $18 to $25. In addition to the garter belts, the company also showed fingerless opera gloves, boy shorts and sexy tops along with leggings called Dress Warmers.

Delia—a self-described garter belt lover and aficionado of clubwear—founded ColorSMACK! in April 2009 with her partner Niveque Storm due to her inability to find the perfect garter belt on the market. She utilized her backgrounds in theater, art and retail to fill what she saw as a need on the clubwear, dancewear and lingerie marketplaces. “The number one reason I began making garter belts was that every one I tried on didn’t fit correctly; either it was too tight and created muffin topping that was unflattering, or, if it fit smoothly it wasn’t tight enough to hold up my stockings.”

“Not so,” she said, with their garter belts. “Our no slip technology sits on the high-hip, with a low cut appeal it dips in the front, and sits on the small of the back, which keeps the garter from cutting into the waist and minimizes the dreaded ‘muffin top’ from occurring. Additionally, it has triple-hook ‘n eye closures in the back for added support. It is completely seamless and follows the line of a woman’s body, which makes it a perfect fit for anyone from a size 0 to a size 16.”

Delia added that she loves dancing and is “hard on my clothes,” so she designed a garter belt that can be worn on the inside or the outside, and is durable and comfortable enough for all-night club-hopping. Her brand also offers unique colors and excellent quality for the price, she said. “All of our UV reactive line, including the trims, elastics and closures, are fluorescent under black light, which is great for club wear. It is also very difficult to garter belts at this level of quality for this price. I use a seamless technology with double layers of Powermesh to increase durability and create belts that look great under form-fitting clothing. I love making clothing for Women that that make them feel sexy and look even sexier!”

She plans on expanding on her size range up to a 3X. Her additional plans with ColorSMACK! include adding hand painted silk corsets, bustles and garter belts, as well as dresses and other clubwear.
