Brulee To Hit Stores This Fall

(Filed Under wholesale Loungewear News). Journelle and Petticoat Lane of New York City, along with Oh Baby Lingerie Shop in Portland, Ore., have picked up new loungewear and lingerie brand, Brulee. The brand’s debut collection will hit these boutiques and others, as well as the Brulee website, in late fall at a retail range of $36 to $178 in sizes XS through XL. Styles fall under the four lines Brulee Classic, Brulee Lounge, Brulee Boudoir, and Brulee Black, and include bodysuits; rompers; loungepants; shorts; boyshorts; bralettes; camisoles; and nightshirts, among others, constructed from “luxurious” silks and chiffons, as well as jerseys and cottons. As previously reported in BODY, Kristian Giambi, the wife of Oakland A’s player Jason Giambi, founded the company targeting “strong, independent, sophisticated women seeking quality construction and finishes in seductive, boudoir-inspired lingerie and loungewear.” Based on Giambi’s jet-set lifestyle, styles are also designed to travel well.

Melissa Silvetti, buyer for Journelle, said that the store was “initially drawn to Brulee because we are always searching for new lingerie designers that are innovative and mix with our current product lineup.

“It’s a collection that is classic because of its palette of black, ivory and plum, but also manages to be fashion-forward with the shapes they feature, such as the silk teddy with the chiffon banding and open back. We just love the understated sexiness of the ‘boyfriend nightshirt;’ an over-sized, tailored men’s PJ top that fits loosely and hits just below the bum. We think the Journelle woman will love the sophistication of this line and also the quality of the pieces – and best, we are sure they will be pleasantly surprised by the affordable price points.”
