(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Q-T Intimates will design, manufacturer and distribute a line of intimate apparel in the Teen, Junior and Junior Plus categories under the Paris Blues Intimates Label as the result of a recently-signed agreement with Paris Blues LLC. The first collection will be available for preview in February 2010, and will hit stores for the Back-to-School 2010 season. Retail prices will run from $6 to $9 for panties and $10 to $20 for bras. The collection will be available throughout the U.S. and Canada, and will be sold through the same distribution channels as Paris Blue Denim, which includes mid-tier, department and specialty stores.
“We are very excited to be partnering with such a great brand and a wonderful company that has been in the junior denim arena since 1981,” Meryl Kutzin, vice president of merchandising and production for Q-T Intimates, remarked. “Paris Blues has proven itself a visionary brand with staying power. They have been able to maintain a loyal customer base, which has adapted to the ever-changing junior market.”
The denim-inspired line will include bras for teens in AA and A cups, and Junior and Junior Plus bra and panty coordinates in cup sizes A through DD. Fabrics will consist of micro fibers and cotton/spandex. “We feel there is a real void in the marketplace, especially in the niche markets and Teen and Junior Plus categories,” Laura Marchant, design director of Q-T Intimates, said. “I think the young customer looks for her favorite brand and is loyal to it.”
In addition to manufacturing and distributing intimate apparel, bridal and shapewear in the missy and plus size ranges under the Q-T Intimates label, Q-T Intimates has the license for La Leche League International intimates and sleepwear.
